I hate when people write svsss off as “the funny one” when it has some of the best satirical commentary’s I’ve ever seen in a novel. There’s so many layers to scum villain and so many ways to interpret it, it’s everything from a lighthearted romantic comedy to a cosmic horror story and everything in between. There’s so much nuance and depth but people so easily write it off as either “problematic” or “not that serious” and it makes me so angry. Idk justice for scum villain

it hits him all at once.

bakugo goes back into the field after eight months of paternity leave and instead of the pumping in his veins, all he feels is fear―unlike anything he's ever felt before.

it rings deep in his bones, crawls up his spine and into the back of his head; it rattles around his heartbeat. he didn't feel this at 15, with no pulse, near death with blood splattered all over his chest.

yet here he is now, at 35, standing face-to-face with a villain not any larger than he is. there's no real threat besides the explosives strapped to the pillars of this evacuated building; the worst that could happen is that the entire structure could collapse if they're set off.

―which, he can avoid; could hightail out of the area using cluster easily. but the pressure feels bigger somehow, the possibility of a failure weighs heavier. his first thought is you and the baby. his little family.

"you should start going back to the field," you whispered one night, your arms wrapped around his waist as he cradled his little girl to sleep.

he'd wanted to take the whole year off, just until she would start walking. just until you were more rested. settled.

but, you know bakugo and what makes him who he is, you know being a hero is more than just his job; how he misses the thrill of it, sneaking looks at his phone every time he hears anything from the news.

so he's here now, a few months too early, and it terrifies him―how he doesn't feel the same way he used to. it's paralyzing; one wrong move, one reckless mistake and it could all be over.

there's so much more to lose.

Delta Squad Week Day 2, Alternative Prompt: "Babie Wookiees?"

What Boss hears:

Advisor: "You'll have to make your way through the nursery facilities of the Citadel." Scorch: "Oh - is that where they keep the Baby Wookiees?" Advisor: "Negative. Baby wroshyr trees. This is the Wookiees' garden."

A few moments later…

Scorch: "Well, the garden's got a pest problem: Trandoshans." Sev: "You would prefer baby Wookiees?" Scorch: "Not really. Too cute." What Scorch pictures in front of his mind's eye:

This is not what I think baby wookies actually look like, but what I think Scorch, who has probably never seen a real-life civilian baby, might imagine them like. Hence, the bow, the pacifier, and the exaggerated, super-large eyes.

Done in Krita. I don't have a tablet, only a mouse, so please excuse that some lines are not as clean as they could be.

Yet again thinking about "Tobirama decides that in order to achieve his brother's dream drastic measures will be necessary."

Since Hashirama has decided that 'just conquer them by force' isn't acceptable Tobirama decides that the only way to get the Senju and Uchiha to work together is to bring in a greater threat

Since he doesn't have mokuton/mangekyo, his initial experiments into getting a biiju to do it aren't successful. So he decides to become the greater threat himself

Obviously not in combat, because he's sure that if Hashirama really wanted too (...or Madara, not that he'd admit it) he could stop him easily. He's going to defeat them using political pressure.

That is to say, he's going to go to some other country (since if he stays in fire country everyone would treat him as if he's trying to help the senju win the war, not unite them with the uchiha) and convince all of them that a full scale invasion of fire country is a great idea.

So he stabs the shit out of Izuna (who i think I think should live in this AU if only so he can smack people with a cane and be vindicated about how he was right about the shit Tobirama was up to the whole time) and runs off to water country to start gathering allies

Is Tobirama very good at this? Is he charismatic? No. But he does raise some good points about how they'd be stronger together than apart and this is taken much more seriously in water country where the political landscape is more "alliances change and shift every day" instead of "we have had a longstanding feud since before recorded history"

All this for a scene where Tobirama shows up at some fire country war council dressed like a warlord talking very obviously about how it's soooo easy to conquer all of these separate clans but he wouldn't dare do so if they all united......... but they'd obviously never do that 🤨
